Pencil and pen in black, grey wash, on wove. 1828. 14.6 x 18.4 cm. Inscribed and dated “Albechs Born/d. 9 April K1 af/1828” lower right. With a margin line in brown pen. With a pencil and wash study of a landscape with windmills on the reverse.

Description

Sødring hielt gerne Momentaufnahmen fest, wie diese aus dem Leben gegriffene Szene, die er am 9. April 1928 aufs Papier brachte. Er zeigt die beiden Söhne seines Freundes Albech, die wohl während des Lesens einer zu langen Geschichte eingenickt sind. Das Buch ist zu Boden gefallen und liegt nun dort mit offenen Seiten. – Vereinzelt ganz schwache braune Fleckchen, ansonsten sehr schön.
