Description
Als junger Künstler besucht Norbert Goeneutte häufig das beliebte Café de la Nouvelle-Athènes an der Place Pigalle. Hier trifft er Journalisten und Schriftsteller, aber auch Malerkollegen wie Renoir, Monet und Degas. In den 1870er Jahren steht Goeneutte für mehrere Gemälde Renoirs Modell, darunter auch für “Bal du moulin de la Galette”, auf dem er als einer der sitzenden Männer rechts mit Zylinder und Backenbart zu sehen ist.
