Description
Ausgezeichnete spätere Drucke nach dem berühmten Fresko Michelangelos in der Sixtinischen Kapelle. Es handelt sich um Ghisis größtes Projekt der 1540er Jahre und um die eindrucksvollsten aller frühen Drucke, die nach dem Fresko entstanden sind. Die mit A-L beschrifteten Platten von Ghisi ließen sich wie ein Puzzle zu einem großen Bild des gesamten Jüngsten Gerichts zusammenfügen. Die vollständige Folge mit dem Kupferstich von Sebastian Furck (Fulcaro) (Le Blanc II. 285, Nr. 2) und dem Porträt von Michelangelo, gestochen von Ghisi nach Marcello Venusti. Die Schambereiche der Figuren sind bereits verdeckt. Mit dem vollen Rand. – Überwiegend im Rand leicht fleckig, sowie mit Randmängeln und Griffknicken. Selten!
