Indian ink on brownish machine-made laid paper. (Around 1942). Ca. 22 x 17.5 cm. Signed and with a dedication to the book seller Horst Stobbe lower right and titled “Baske” lower left.

Description

Die Zeichnung steht in engem Zusammenhang mit dem kleinen Mappenwerk des Künstlers “Alfred Kubin, Schemen. 60 Köpfe aus einer verklungenen Zeit”, erschienen im Kanter-Verlag, Königsberg 1943, mit 60 Strichätzungen nach Federzeichnungen Kubins (Raabe Nr. 613).
