Description
In den 1910er Jahren wurde die Arbeit von Arnold Topp durch Marc Chagall und Wilhelm Morgner auf der einen und den Dichter Paul Scheerbart auf der anderen Seite beeinflusst. Topp versuchte dessen kosmische Visionen in Farbe umzusetzen. “Ach, ich kann ja gar nicht schlafen! Über dem dunkelgrünen Myrtentor thront ein dicker roter Mond” (Paul Scheerbart). Diese Eindrücke werden in der vorliegenden Arbeit deutlich sichtbar. Der rote Mond nimmt eine dominante Position ein und die Szenerie mit dem Paar lässt Erinnerungen an Marc Chagall wach werden.
