Description
Ferdinand von Miller II. entstammte der bekannten Münchner Bildhauer- und Erzgießerfamilie, die u.a. den Guss der Kolossalstatue der Bavaria auf der Münchner Theresienhöhe ausgeführt hatte. Er war wie sein gleichnamiger Vater ebenfalls Bildhauer und Erzgießer und von 1900 bis 1918 Direktor der Münchener Kunstakademie. Bilder von seiner Hand sind sehr selten.
