Description
Cosway war 1785 zum “Principal Painter” des Prince of Wales ernannt worden. Man schätzte ihn vor allem für seine Portraitminiaturen, für deren Fond er meist ein helles leuchtendes Antwerpener Blau verwendete. – In schöner Erhaltung.
