Description
Der gebürtige rumänische Bildhauer Remus Botarro wird von der Kunstwelt oftmals als der Nachfolger seines Landsmannes Constantin Brâncuși betitelt. So greift Botarro auch in der vorliegenden Arbeit bestimmte Elemente von Brâncușis Kunst auf, um sie neu zu verarbeiten. Die Arbeit “Der Geist des Traumes” übernimmt das Aufwärtsstreben von Brâncușis “Bird in Space” und verwandelt ihn in eine Engelsgestalt, die in den Raum hineinschwebt. Remus Botarros Werk ist in zahlreichen öffentlichen Museen und Sammlungen Europas vertreten. – Stellenweise Unregelmäßigkeiten in der Oberfläche, sonst sehr gut.
