Description
Skizze zur fünften Szene in Shakespaeres gleichnamiger Komödie für den kolorierten Karton in der Nationalgalerie in Berlin, den Steinle für die von dem Münchner Verleger Friedrich Bruckmann 1867 herausgegebene “Shakespeare-Galerie” angefertigt hatte. Die Spuren der Quadrierung machen wahrscheinlich, dass unsere Skizze zur Übertragung in das größere Format des Kartons diente. – An den Rändern leicht gebräunt, sonst gut erhalten.
