Description
Während des Ersten Weltkrieges lebt Lyonel Feininger in Berlin-Zehlendorf und darf aufgrund seiner amerikanischen Staatsbürgerschaft nicht reisen. Erst 1917 wird ihm eine Reise nach Braunlage im Harz gestattet, bei der diese vom Kubismus geprägte Felsenskizze entsteht. – Linker Blattrand mit Lochung. Papier schwach gebräunt, winziges Löchlein rechts im Motiv, minimale Griffknickchen, verso an der oberen Kante punktuell fest auf Unterlagekarton montiert, insgesamt in guter Erhaltung.
