Description
Der Maler und Grafiker Ernst Eitner ist einer der ersten Hamburger Künstler, der auf Anraten seines Förderers Alfred Lichtwark, Direktor der Hamburger Kunsthalle, das Atelier verlässt und als Freilichtmaler norddeutsche Landschaften schafft. 1897 ist er Gründungsmitglied des Hamburger Künstlerclubs. Seine Malweise entwickelt sich von einer tonigen Palette hin zur farbintensiven Lichtmalerei in impressionistischer Manier.
