Kunstantiquariat Bremer, München, 2004 vom Vorbesitzer dort erworben; Privatsammlung, Norddeutschland, im Erbgang an den heutigen Besitzer.
Description
Zachmann, der nach seinem Malereistudium an der Großherzoglichen Kunstgewerbeschule Karlsruhe und Kunstgewerbeschule Esslingen zunächst von Hodler beeinflusst wurde, wandte sich ab 1912 dem Expressionismus zu. Im Ersten Weltkrieg wurde er eingezogen und fiel an der Westfront in Flandern. Sein Nachlass kam in die Mannheimer Kunsthalle und wurde in der NS Zeit beschlagnahmt. Am Oberrand in den Ecken fest ins Passepartout montiert. Mit minimalen Randmängeln, sonst farbfrisch.
