Einer alten Überlieferung zufolge soll es sich um das Bildnis der etwa fünfjährigen Wally Krebs handeln, die Rudolf Hirth du Frênes etwa gleichzeitig als “Kleines Mädchen mit Äpfeln im Schoß” verewigt hat (München, Neue Pinakothek).
