Description
Der Tiroler Maler und Autodidakt Waldemar Güttner war bis zu seiner frühen Pensionierung 1918 Offizier in verschiedenen Kommandos. Beeinflusst von Artur Nikodem und Albin Egger-Lienz, mit dessen Tochter Lori er kurzzeitig verheiratet war, schuf Güttner Landschafts- und Figurenbilder von expressiver Farbigkeit. Seine Arbeiten erscheinen nur selten auf dem Kunstmarkt, da er seine Schaffenszeit bereits 1937 durch äußere Umstände beenden musste.
