Trennung der Mondlandefähre vom kegelförmigen Adapter in der Mondflugrakete “Saturn V”, Koppelung an die Kommandokapsel “Command Service Module” (CSM) durch ein vom Piloten manuell geflogenes Wendemanöver. Dies geschieht erst in Vorbereitung zur Mondlandung, wenn das Raumfahrzeug die Mondumlaufbahn erreicht hat.
