Während ihres rund zweistündigen Außenbordeinsatzes auf dem Mond bauten die Astronauten den Gerätekomplex “Early Apollo Scientific Experiments Package” (EASEP) zur Durchführung von wissenschaftlichen Langzeitexperimenten auf der Mondoberfläche auf. Hier installiert Edwin “Buzz” Aldrin gerade den “Passive Seismic Experiments Package” (PSEP). Im Hintergrund die Mondlandefähre (LM) und die amerikanische Flagge.
