Lunar Orbiter II war die zweite von fünf Mondsonden des Lunar-Orbiter Programms der N.A.S.A. Diese hatten die Aufgabe, die Mondoberfläche zu fotografieren und zu kartografieren, um zukünftige Landeplätze für die Mondlandung festzulegen.
