Description
Mit seinen Szenerien entführt Eemans den Betrachter wiederholt ins traumartige, in denen oftmals erst auf den zweiten Blick das Phantastische und Absurde zu Tage tritt. Eemans wandte sich gegen 1925 vom abstrakten Konstruktivismus ab, um sich fortan intensiv mit dem Surrealismus zu befassen. Bereits im Alter von zehn Jahren zählte Eemans zu den etablierten Vertretern des belgischen Surrealismus. Er stellte unter anderem zusammen mit René Magritte und Salvator Dalí in der Pariser Galerie von Camille Goemans aus.
