Grisaillemalereien sind eine Besonderheit im Oeuvre von Bergmüller und sehr selten. Bislang ist nur eine weitere Grisaille bekannt: Die Patrone Ottobeurens (Epple/Straßer, “Johann Georg Bergmüller 1688-1762. Die Gemälde”, Kunstsammlungen Augsburg, 2012, G 179).
