Description
Einfühlsames Bildnis Fougstedts, der sich ab den 1920er Jahren als gefragter Portätkünstler in Stockholm etablierte. Bei dem Dargestellten handelt es sich um den schwedischen Kunsthistoriker Sixtem Strömbom (1888-1983). Von 1919 bis 1949 war dieser Kurator am Nationalmuseum in Stockholm. Zwischen 1935, Jahr der Entstehung dieses Gemäldes, und 1942 gab Strömbom einen umfassenden “Index über schwedische Porträtkunst” heraus.
