Description
Zu der verschneiten Landschaft verso existiert ein Aquarell, das genau die gleiche Komposition mit den zwei spitzen, dunklen Bergen im Vordergrund, dem steilen Pfad links und dem Wasserfall mittig aufweißt. Auf der Papierarbeit hat Erbach jedoch noch eine Berghütte mit einer Menschengruppe dargestellt (siehe “Expressionismus im Rhein-Main-Gebiet”, Museum Giersch, Petersberg 2011, S. 163 mit Abb.), während er sich hier gänzlich auf die eisige, harte Berglandschaft konzentriert.
