Entstanden wohl während der Studienreise in den Schweizer Kanton Glarus im Jahr 1862: “Hier entstanden (…) auch kleine Gemälde mit Berg- und Seemotiven ohne jegliche Staffage” (Manfred Großkinsky, in: Katalog der Ausstellung “Eugen Bracht”, Museum Giersch, Frankfurt/Main 2005; S. 162).
