Description
1841 erschienen in Leipzig die englische Ausgabe und zeitgleich die deutsche Übersetzung des Romans “The Vicar of Wakefield” von Oliver Goldsmith mit 63 Holzschnitten von Ludwig Richter. Die vorliegende Zeichnung ist wohl ein Entwurf für die Illustration auf S. 31. – An den Blattkanten an eine geprägte Zierleiste montiert. Sehr gut erhalten.
