Description
Malerische Ansicht, vermutlich aus der Gegend um Cartagena. Stilistisch beeinflusst von Carl Rottmann, fand Bamberger zu einer Zeit, als Spanien von deutschen Künstlern noch kaum entdeckt war, auf drei Reisen durch das Land ab 1841 eine Vielzahl von Motiven. Zu seinen Förderern gehörte auch Graf Schack, der mehrere iberische Landschaften Bambergers für seine Sammlung erwarb.
