Description
Balthus beschäftigte sich in seinem Frühwerk mit Pariser Straßenszenen aus dem 5. und 6. Arrondissement. Diese Arbeit diente als Vorstudie zu dem gleichnamigen Gemälde aus dem Jahr 1929 und enthält Anmerkungen des Künstlers zur Farbpalette für das Gemälde. Minimal lichtrandig mit kleinen Wasserflecken außerhalb der Darstellung, sonst altersgemäß in sehr gutem Zustand.
