Eindringliches Selbstbildnis, vermutlich zeichnend. Die Selbstporträts bilden in Corinths Werk eine eigene Gattung. Immer wieder stellt sich der Künstler der kritischen Selbstbefragung und der Auseinandersetzung mit sich und dem Betrachter; vor allem nach dem 1911 erlittenen Schlaganfall gewinnen die Bildnisse an psychologischer Tiefe. – Farbfrisch und von sehr guter Erhaltung.
