Description
Renoir zeigt die verehrte Schauspielerin mit imposantem, breitkrempigem Hut und einem modischen Puffärmelkleid der Zeit. Die Graphik entstand nach einem Pastell von 1896 und erschien 1899 in der ursprünglich geplanten Auflage von 100 Exemplaren, herausgegeben von Julius Meier-Graefe, in der Mappe “Germinal” von “La Maison Moderne” in Paris. – Mit minimalem Lichtrand im ehemaligen Passepartoutausschnitt, sonst von sehr schönem Gesamteindruck.
