Description
Christoph Thomas Scheffler, der seine Gesellenzeit bei Cosmas Damaian Asam in München verbracht hatte, war seit 1728 in Augsburg ansässig. Als ehemaliger Laienbruder des Landsberger Jesuitenkollegs erhielt er seine wichtigsten Aufträge für Fresken und Altarblätter von kirchlicher Seite, vornehmlich der Jesuitenkollegien. – Minimal stockfleckig und verso im Randbereich mit kleinen Ausbesserungen, ansonsten schön.
