Description
Schon im Titel klingt an, worum es in diesem Bild geht: Um das Ausschalten der rationalen Kontrolle im kreativen Prozess. Von 1952 bis 1955, also zum Zeitpunkt seiner Entstehung, hält sich Hann Trier in Kolumbien auf. Dort beginnt er mit beiden Händen gleichzeitig zu malen – ein der surrealistischen “écriture automatique” verwandtes Verfahren, das hier durch das breite Format besonderen Spielraum findet. Seine Malerei kontrastiert in dieser Zeit lasierend gemalte Farbfelder mit kräftigen kalligraphischen Strukturen, die kaum noch gegenständliche Assoziationen zulassen. – Etwas staubig und teilweise mit feinem Craquelé, sonst in gutem Originalzustand.
