Description
Marryat war 1815 zum kommandierenden Fregattenkapitän der Britischen Marine ernannt worden. Seine abenteuerlichen und exotischen Reiseerlebnisse hielt er nach seinem Abschied 1830 in zahlreichen Romanen, Skizzenbüchern und -blättern für die Nachwelt fest. – Mit teils Randmängeln und kleineren Papierausdünnungen in den Ecken, sonst gut.
