Description
Es handelt sich hierbei um eine Szene aus Sophokles’ Stück “Antigone”, welches im Jahr 1893 in der Comédie Française aufgeführt wurde. Die Darstellung war für die von dem Schriftsteller Georges Darien im November 1893 gegründete illustrierte Wochenzeitung “L’Escarmouche” vorgesehen, kam darin jedoch nicht zur Veröffentlichung. – An den oberen Ecken auf Passepartout montiert. Einzelne restaurierte Risse an den Rändern. Am oberen Rand verso leichte Kleberückstände. Sonst guter Zustand.
