Auf der Rahmenrückwand mit alter Inschrift wohl des Vorbesitzers: “Die Terrasse und das Chalet 1858 bis 1863 – Diesem einst wüsten Flecken Erde gab unsere Arbeit diese Umgestaltung”. Ercole Trachel unternahm mehrere Reisen durch europäische Länder, darunter auch Deutschland, auf denen er zahlreiche Aquarelle mit Sinn für das liebevoll beobachtete Detail anfertigte. – Im alten Passepartoutausschnitt geringfügig gebräunt, sonst sehr schön.
