Description
Auf den ersten Blick wirken die Gemälde Scheids wie das Ergebnis einer spontanen Aktion, ein Fest der Farben und ihres Materialcharakters. Aufgetragen mit dem Rakel und dem Pinsel, abgekratzt, wieder aufgetürmt, ergeben die leuchtenden Töne eine lebhafte, aber durch die Bewegungsrichtung strukturierte Oberfläche. Erst der zweite Blick enthüllt gegenständliche Bezüge, die äußerst raffiniert in das abstrakte Geschehen integriert sind; hier erkennt man den Kopf eines Condors. – Die Kanten umlaufend mit Kunststoffstreifen verstärkt.
