In dieser späten Arbeit findet Schmidt-Rottluff noch einmal zu großer Ausdruckskraft. Die dunklen, schnell verblühenden Blütenköpfe stehen in kalligraphischer Abstraktion vor dem lichtdurchfluteten Hintergrund: eine Meditation über Schönheit und Vergänglichkeit. – In farbfrischem, sehr schönem Erhaltungszustand.
