Description
Erschienen anlässlich der Ausstellung “Roy Lichtenstein – Brushstrokes & Ceramics”, Leo Castelli Gallery, New York, November bis Dezember 1965. Der spontane Pinselstrich, ein Symbol von Emotion und Individualität in der Malerei des abstrakten Expressionismus, wird von Lichtenstein isoliert, vergrößert, in die stilisierte Form des Comic Strips übersetzt und so dem eigenen Werk einverleibt. – In sehr guter, farbfrischer Erhaltung.
