Description
Beeinflusst durch den Surrealismus sucht Laurens in seiner Bildsprache zunehmend das Sinnliche, wie hier den dargestellten Engel, ein Musikinstrument spielend. Vor allem während und nach den Kriegsjahren schuf Laurens vollgültige Zeichnungen, wie die vorliegende Arbeit, die neben seinen Plastiken eine wichtige Stellung in seinem Schaffen einnehmen. – Minimaler Lichtrand, sonst tadellos und von sehr schönem Gesamteindruck.
