Description
Die verschiedenen Farbangaben, besonders am Berghang und an den Dächern der Stadt, lassen vermuten, dass diese Arbeit als Entwurf für ein wohl nie ausgeführtes Gemälde entstand. Kaus malte 1925 mehrere Ansichten des Pitztals (siehe Schmitt-Wischmann/Kaus 85-89); von 1926 sind allerdings keine weiteren Werke mit diesem Thema bekannt. – Im unteren Randbereich fachmännisch restaurierte Einrisse. Etwas gebräunt, allgemein schön.
