Mit einer Fotoexpertise von Barbara Hardtwig vom 18.1.2010. Laut Hardtwig ist die Inschrift rechts unten nicht eigenhändig, sie verweist auf Claude Lorrain, dessen Kompositionen Dillis aus der Ausgabe der Aquatintablätter von Richard Earlom kannte; keines dieser Werke diente jedoch als Vorbild für die vorliegende, frei und kraftvoll ausgeführte Zeichnung. Die Jahreszahl “95” könnte auf die Entstehungszeit der Zeichnung hinweisen (dritte Zeile unleserlich). – Mit einem kleinen braunen Fleckchen links unten, weitere Flecken verso am oberen Rand. Insgesamt sehr gut erhalten.
