Kopfstudie der Maria von Medici. Dem anonymen Meister diente der Medici-Zyklus von Peter Paul Rubens als Vorlage. Die direkten Vorbilder für diese Profilstudie liefern der Kopf der Königin aus der Szene “Maria wird Regentin von Frankreich” oder derjenige aus der “Großjährigkeit des Dauphins Ludwigs XIII. und Übertragung der Regierung an ihn durch Maria von Medici”. – Leicht gebräunt und mit Braunfleckchen, am rechten Rand mit einem kleinen hinterlegten Riss (ca. 0,5 cm). In altersgemäß guter Erhaltung.
