Description
Der Ausführung nach entstand diese Zeichnung während der Ausbildung Overbecks an der Wiener Akademie, die er von 1806 bis 1810 besuchte. Hier war besonders die naturalistische plastische Durchbildung des Körpers gefordert, ein Formideal, das in Overbecks umrissbetontem Werk später keine Rolle mehr spielen sollte. – Oberer Rand, linke untere und rechte untere Ecke knittrig. Horizontale Mittelfalte geglättet.
Provenienz: Privatsammlung, Süddeutschland (seit Jahrzehnten in Familienbesitz).
