Description
In dieser Arbeit verbindet Wesselmann wieder eine plakative Darstellung mit einer exhibitionistischen Pose des weiblichen Körpers. Die Arbeit steht im Zusammenhang mit Wesselmanns “Blue Nude”- Gemälde aus 2000, das zu einer ganzen Serie von “Blue Nude”-Arbeiten in unterschiedlichen Techniken führte. Das Spiel von positiven und negativen Formen in Blau und Weiß erinnert auch an späte Arbeiten von Matisse, von dem sich Wesselmann stets inspirieren ließ. – Rechts unten mit dem Trockenstempel “Screened Images”. Druckfrisch erhalten.
