Das an der Ostseeküste gelegene Gelting ist für Fußmann der ideale Rückzugsort; dort entstehen zahlreiche seiner Landschaftskompositionen. Die Ursprünglichkeit und die Abgeschiedenheit der Küstenregion inspirieren den Maler. So entsteht eine kontrastreiche Komposition, deren Farbenreichtum von leuchtend hellem Gelb bis hin zu der fast schwarzen Schattenzone des Gartens reicht. – In tadelloser Erhaltung.
