Description
Impulsives Zusammenspiel der Grundfarben Blau und Gelb mit ihrer gemeinsamen Mischfarbe Grün auf weißem Grund. Nach den monochromen Arbeiten seines Frühwerks beschäftigte sich Budd zunehmend mit der Malerei des Colour Field Painting. Mit breitem Spachtel aufgetragene Farbfelder werden durch wulstartige Verdickungen an den Rändern voneinander abgegrenzt. Die so entstandenen Oberflächen sollen den Wahrnehmungsprozess des Betrachters assoziativ beinflussen. – Im Weiß teils minimal angeschmutzt, sonst farbfrisch und gut.
