The small horse tamer. Bronze with a dark brown patina. (After 1976). Height c. 20.5 cm. So far the only cast from the planed, numbered edition of 10 copies. With the artist’s sign on the plinth. Stamped with the foundry mark “Guss Barth Rinteln” on the back of the plinth’s ledge.

Zusätzlich zu der geplanten Auflage von 10 Exemplaren wurden 1991 jeweils ein A- und ein B-Guss gegossen. Die Plastik ist eine spätere, kleinere Version der 1971 ausgeführten Pferdebändiger-Arbeiten in Bronze (siehe Rudloff 986 und 987). Bei dieser jüngeren Arbeit wird die männliche Figur jedoch noch weiter reduziert. Die Brustmuskulatur wird zum Beispiel nicht mehr ausgeformt. Hier konzentriert sich der Künstler nur noch auf die ganze Form und die dynamische Bewegung des sich aufbäumenden Pferdes mit seinem Bändiger. – In sehr gutem Originalzustand.
