Aus dem von Tériade herausgegebenen Album “Daphnis et Chloé”. Das Werk enthält 42 Lithographien, davon 16 doppelseitige. Sie wurden bei Mourlot in Paris gedruckt. Die großartigen Farblithographien beschreiben den paradiesischen Reiz der griechischen Landschaft und das Erwachen einer naiven Liebe zwischen zwei Hirtenkindern. Der antike Liebesroman des griechischen Dichters Longus endet mit der Hochzeitsnacht in der Grotte der Nymphen. – Mit der Mittelfalte. An der oberen Kante auf die Unterlage montiert. Verso etwas gebräunt, sonst in gutem Zustand.
