Description
Um den von Stufen und hohen Säulen mit Rundbogen umgebenen Teich liegen, sitzen und stehen zahlreiche Kranke. Im Vordergrund links, umgeben von mehreren Personen, Jesus und der geheilte Kranke. Bewegte, lebendige Zeichnung mit malerischen Helldunkeleffekten. G. Rugendas stach nach der Darstellung des Direktors der Nürnberger Akademie und Zeichenschule, Preissler, die Heilung am Teich Bethesda (Le Blanc 3; vgl. Thieme/Becker XXVII, S.374) – Verso etwas fleckig und mit kleinen Ausbesserungen, sonst gut.
