Description
Als Deutscher in Tschechien geboren, studierte der Künstler an der Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Karlsruhe; seit über vierzig Jahren lebt er in der Ardèche, wo er abseits des Kunstbetriebs seinen eigenen, vom Expressionismus beeinflussten Stil entwickelt hat. Die vorliegende fließende Komposition in leuchtenden Farben hat er auch nach der Datierung weiterbearbeitet. Der “Kräftige Kerl”, eine angedeutete Silhouette, umspannt fast die gesamte Leinwand. Dahinter jedoch liegt ein bildnerischer Makrokosmos, der nur gelegentlich gegenständlich fassbar ist. – Verso mit einer kleinen runden Verstärkung der Leinwand. In sehr guter, farbfrischer Erhaltung.
