Werknummer 1882; Nachlassnummer B 309.
Schöne Variation des berühmten romantischen Motivs: Einsam steht der Spaziergänger am Strand, ganz in die Betrachtung der imposanten Wolkenformation am Himmel versunken, die Feininger als fest umrissene, abstrakte Fläche schildert. Der Mond ist nur in den Lichtreflexen auf dem Meer sichtbar. – Linke Seite gelocht. Obere Blattkante minimal gebräunt, sonst sehr schön.
Provenienz: Nachlass des Künstlers.
