Description
Vorhanden: Mann mit Pfeife – Bischof – verhüllte Figur (Betende) – Wanderer – Mönch (Flagellant).
Mehrere Scherenschnitte Schwinds sind bekannt, wobei er offenbar direkt mit der Schere, ohne Vorzeichnung, ans Werk ging. Dabei sind seine figürlichen Silhouetten, wie hier, oft überspitzte, fast karikierende Destillate der dargestellten Typen. So ist der Bischof von beträchtlicher Leibesfülle, der Wanderer schrullig, der Flagellant asketisch: Allein durch die Schilderung von Haltung und Gestik gelingt dem Künstler eine sprechende Charakterisierung. – Mit vereinzelten Fleckchen, sonst gut erhalten.
