In raschen, kraftvollen Strichlagen festgehaltene Studie für das später ausgeführte Ölgemälde “Hugo von Schönberg” (Walter 595): Der Dargestellte steht in ganzer Figur, das Gewehr im linken Arm, rechts neben ihm ein Hund, am Boden links das erlegte Wild. Am Oberrand und in der linken Bildhälfte mit einer sorgfältig geglätteten Falte; verso am Oberrand mit Kleberesten alter Montage, sonst gut erhalten.
Provenienz: Aus der Sammlung Heumann, Chemnitz (Lugt 2841a) und aus der Sammlung “E. J. Otto” (Lugt suppl. 873 b), je verso mit dem Sammlungsstempel.
